Koh Yao Yai Village: This was for sure one of the top highlights of our last trip to Bangkok and Thailand. Our plans instantly changed once we arrived at this fantastic luxurious resort, and extended for some few days more our stay on this resort, while changed the plans we had for other places. We really felt inlove for such an amazing and outstanding place.Koh Yao Yai and Koh Yao Noi are twin sister islands located in in Phang Nga Bay, at the Andaman Sea, not far from the prestigious and popular Phi Phi Islands. This area started to became famous long time ago after James Bond filming here, and later by DiCaprio on “The Beach”. It’s also close by Phuket, the International Airport and all famous resorts.
– Koh Yao Yai Village by The Treasury Village Group consists only of 34 exclusive villas, with prices average starting from $90USD up to $150USD per night for beach front villa/bungalows. This kind of resort could easily be charged anywhere else between $500USD to $750USD per night.
The island is quite romantic and it’s only 30km from north to south. You can rent easily get a motorbike and drive around island, the traffic is very low or unexistent, since the island has only around 4.000 resident population. The island consists of majority of muslim population (90%), a huge change from the remanining Thailand, which has 93% of Buddhism as religion. I have honestly to say that the hotel staff is AMAZING, OUTSTANDING, and made us a wonderful short stay with authentic lifetime memories. All locals across the island are nice and helpful, and the swimming pool at the resort is breathtaking and unforgettable. We had a deluxe bungalow with garden view for our stay, and the photos speak for themselves. Take a look further.
